Hi people and uhmm should I say Happy Summer.... This post is dedicated to an issue very dear to my heart "Beautiful hair".
We watch all those relaxer and hair product commercials, the guys and girls there have this hair that you just want to put your hands in. I mean as you see their manes your creative senses are already literally itching to put a comb thru and style it crazy, and then you look at yourHa own hair and shake your head in dissapointment. π¦π¦π¦ Sad stuff innit?
But what alot of us have failed to realise is that it is possible to have beautiful hair, it just takes commitment and determination. I have been friends with some people for close to a decade but i have never seen them out of a weave-on, its ridiculous and sad, and its all because they have never taken out time to actually bring out goodness from their hair. I also hate seeing guys with terrible hair! Even the bible says it, "your hair is your crown and glory" and I guess its high time we start making that crown and glory shine.
Some of us (like meππ) are blessed with full long hair*vain flip of hair* , and most of the time this catergory of people neglect their hair until it comes to ruin.
Lets use me as an example, without being vain i had the most amazing soft, long, silky and dark hair ever that had this really preety curly feel, but my hair as at some weeks back could be described as broken, dry, not quite short and offcourse with a colour too horrible to describe. All these were the aftermath of neglect.
But through some processes im going to shed more light on ,I have been able to see trememdous improvement.
1st of all make sure you use products that are gentle on your hair. Im sorry but im going to mention specific products that didnt work for me (NB: i have seen people whose hair texture went wonderfully well with these products. What works for you might not work for me) .
Personal hair care tips:
- Get a good relaxer. Initially i used Sporting Waves texturizer and it was amazing and gentle on my hair. It encouraged its growth. I unintentionally used ozone relaxer and it ruined my hair. Then i started using Organics kit and it was doing fine. Then i switched to Profective. Profective was the 1st to really relax my hair and it was initially good until my hair started breaking like crazy. I started having split ends and excessive dryness. My hair cut almost halfway and it was looking scanty.
I discovered that Profective did better on people with a coarse texture of hair, it was too harsh on mine. So i started my hair treatment routine.
- I got a good shampoo and i try to wash my hair once a week. Im loving Kerativa Shampoo and Reconstrctor. I actually feel the cleanliness of my hair. Its an intensive shampoo with conditioner.
- I deep condition once or twice in a month. Dr Miracles "feel it formula tingling intensive DEEP CONDITIONING TREATMENT. Im a menthol fan so i was immediately in love.
I do normal contitioning every other time i wash. I use Dr Miracles products and Profectiv leave in conditioner
- Daily routine... I use a moisturiser and back it up with an oil to lock in the moisture.
These are the basics, I'll have more hair issues where bigger hair secrets will be revealed.
Its good to keep in mind that good hair is the beginning of proper grooming for MALE AND FEMALE. And also proper diet plays a big role in acheiving the desired hair. You should also know that it doesnt happen overnight and that with the use of the right products especially the wonderful natutal concotions which i'll share with you soon you can 'trip' for your own hair. The journey of thousand miles starts with a step so start TODAY! Healthy Hair is a must π±π±πππ#GrowThatMane #NaijaHairCanGrow #HairGameOn #blackgirlLongHair leggoo.
